Dan Anderson, a Chagrin Falls resident and professional musician, has served as Concertmaster or in leadership roles with orchestras and symphonies both nationwide and abroad, including the Cleveland Philharmonic Orchestra, the US Army Strolling Strings in Washington DC, the US Army Orchestra in Stuttgart, and the Oregon Symphony Orchestra with notable conductors including Igor Stravinsky, Robert Craft, and Mistilav Rostroprovich.
For many years, Mr. Anderson performed with Murray Korda and His Monseigneur Strings, an internationally acclaimed orchestra that entertains foreign dignitaries, Presidents, and luminaries of the social, musical, and entertainment world, including Elizabeth Taylor, Barbara Streisand, Nancy Sinatra, Bob Hope, Frank Sinatra, Sean Connery, Bon Jovi, Queen Elizabeth, kings and queens of Spain and Norway, and Scandinavian princesses. Most recently, he traveled to Italy to perform at San Marco’s Basilica, the Duomo, and St. Peter’s Basilica in Rome. Mr. Anderson’s childhood nurtured him for a career of musical performance as he traveled with his family to perform as U.S. Ambassadors under the State Department of Europe, entertain G.I.’s and at refugee camps, and tour to Scandinavian countries.
Mr. Anderson shares his love of the violin and music by teaching strings and band at St. Joan of Arc School and performing at and organizing a program for youth string players at St. Joan of Arc Church.
